THE GENITORTURERS' "Evil D" Gets Demonic With Signature Bass Model
January 31, 2002THE GENITORTURERS bassist Evil D Vincent, aka former MORBID ANGEL bassist/vocalist David Vincent, has just seen his signature model Dean bass, dubbed the Demonator, released to stores worldwide. The prototype for the new Dean model made its debut at this year's NAMM music trade convention a couple of weeks ago, where it was reported to be a big hit. The bass was designed by Evil D and Dean guitar honcho Ben Chafin to fit the dark aggressive playing style of the band. You can get it in any coloras long as it's black, joked Evil D. THE GENITORTURERS recently traveled to the Anaheim NAMM convention to help celebrate the release of the Demonator as well as to attend Dean Guitars' 25th Anniversary party. Dean Guitars is an international company based in Clearwater, Florida, as part of Armadillo Enterprises. THE GENITORTURERS' debut release on IRS/Capitol Records (1993's 120 Days Of Genitorture) sparked a dedicated relationship with fans that has continued to expand worldwide. The band has just completed their headlining U.S. tour of over 40 shows and will head to Europe later this spring.
